06 | Mighty & Personal
On the 6th day of Christmas, I’d like to acknowledge Todd Davis. Much of your ministry has been on the premise that God can and does GREAT things. I think that’s why you work so hard, because you believe your effort is faith in action, which compels God to do mighty things. You have had rock solid faith during uncertain seasons. You have displayed the power of God through your selfless service.
Today’s Reading: Luke 1:49
A Simple Thought: Mary says, “he who is mighty…” do you believe that God is all powerful? She isn’t saying everything goes your way and it’s always hunky dory and you’ll always get a participation trophy. But it does mean that no person and no circumstance can knock God off his feet. He is powerful. He is strong. He is the one who can do great things. Remember, when Mary had every reason to feel overwhelmed by life, she chose to worship God has the “Mighty One”
God is mighty AND personal.
With his might, you would assume he’d be impersonal. Typically, the more powerful someone is, the less personal they feel to us. But Mary worships God as BOTH. He is mighty and has done great things for me.
What great things has God done for you? If He is for you, who can be against you?
