“Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart.”
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭37:4‬ ‭NIV‬‬

When we read this verse, at first glance it sounds like the writer is saying as long as we love God, he’ll give us whatever we want. But this verse is not necessarily saying that, what it is saying is that as we delight in the Lord, He gives us our desires.

In other words, Knowing the Lord transforms me from the inside out. The the transformation of my heart leads to new desires.

We want God to just bless our desires and give us stuff we want. Instead, God blessed US, and gives us different desires.
