HAVE YOU ever gotten in trouble for something, maybe as a kid forgetting to do the dishes… or as an adult, making a huge mistake at work.
And instead of owning up to it, you thought of a way to deflect or hide your mistake. You covered it up, or blamed something or someone else? Maybe the reason you did this is because you didn’t want to feel the accusatory, judgmental, condemnation from your boss or your mom?
Well, todays verse of the day is Romans 8:1 and it says “therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus,”
God can’t get you out of trouble with your mom, but at least you can know He isn’t accusing you. God isn’t bringing up all the wrong things you’ve done at work or school or home. Instead, He has closed all the cases against you. Because of what Jesus did for you, all guilt, shame, and condemnation have been removed from you.
This means you can live a life of freedom. You don’t have to be held back by feelings that you don’t measure up or that you’re not enough. In Jesus, you are more than enough. Your worth comes from what God says about you, not others.
