OK…I am PUMPED about week 3 of our teaching series entitled “Doubting.” This Sunday is going to be special. IF you missed weeks 1 & 2, you can watch here. As far as this Sunday is concerned, we are going to change things up just a little.

Remember when you were growing up, and you used to have those really weird eating habits? You didn’t let different foods touch the other, you refused to eat certain vegetables, and you always saved the “best” for last…

Well that’s what we are going to do this Sunday. We are going to save the best for last.

BAPTISMSS!!!

I’m still gonna teach, continuing the series on Doubting. But we are just gonna flip the script on Sunday. I’m gonna teach for the FIRST half hour, and then we’ll worship together during the second half of the hour. One of the things I’m most looking forward to is celebrating those who have decided to follow Christ in BAPTISM during the worship and singing time.

Two things really quick about this…

#1 – If you have decided to follow Jesus recently…OR…you have been a Christian for some time BUT haven’t yet been baptized…you should go here and sign up!

There are SO many examples in the New Testament of people receiving Christ and THEN being baptized.  Baptism always comes AFTER your decision to follow Jesus…so…if you were baptized at some point in your life but you hadn’t actually started following Jesus yet – then it wasn’t a baptism, it was just a bath!

Baptism is a powerful symbol of what Jesus did for us…and an awesome reminder of HIS burial and resurrection. It also marks the beginning of your new life in Christ.

Trust me…there is NOTHING more important than you stepping up and stepping into the water.

#2 – Oasis family — this is a CELEBRATION!

Seriously…bring your family…it’s time to celebrate!  If we celebrate for a bunch of 18-20 year olds in tight pants and pads on Saturday…then we should DO IT BETTER when it comes to baptism!  Everything starts at 10:00am…

I CAN’T WAIT…there is something POWERFUL about seeing people say, “Jesus Christ is my Lord and Savior” and then making a splash!!!
